Anberlin is an alternative rock band that formed in Florida in 2002. By the next year, they were signed to the semi-independent label, Tooth & Nail Records and released their debut album, “Blueprints for the Black Market.”
2005 marked the release of their sophomore effort, “Never Take Friendship Seriously.” Throughout the beginning years the band built a loyal Myspace fan base and finally broke into the Billboard Top 200 with third record, 2007’s “Cities.”
In August of 2007, Anberlin singed with a major label, Universal Republic Records. A year later they released “New Surrender,” which peaked at #13 on the Billboard Top 200. Their single “Feel Good Drag” reached #1 on the Alternative Songs Chart.
In March 2010, the boys found themselves recording their the fifth studio album at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. The new record, “Dark Is The Way, Light Is A Place” is scheduled to hit stores September 21, 2010. The newest single “Impossible” debuted at a recent performance in New York and will begin radio play July 12th.
